Why Does Color Street Make My Nails Peel
Color Street does not make your nails peel directly for the average person. While this Color Street problem is in fact a headache, regular nail polish can have this effect as well. Its typically a matter of nail health rather than the type of nail polish youre using.
Allergies are always a possibility with any product, too. If a medical professional has said youve had an allergic reaction to nail polish in the past its possible that youre allergic to Color Street nail polish as well.
Nails are dead and therefore do not need to breathe, but if theyre consistently covered with nail polish and not given any breaks, the nails will start to weaken. Weak nails are prone to peeling, splitting, and breaking. Make sure to go naked for a couple days here and there. There are also physical health conditions that can weaken nails as well. If you have consistent problems with this, make sure to see a doctor. Its always better to treat the root of the problem than cover it with Band-Aids .
Using acetone nail polish remover is another sure fire way to get your nails to peel. Your nails need oil for health and strength. This may seem counterintuitive since we remove the oils prior to application, but using an incredibly stripping remover like acetone later only makes the Color Street problems worse. Slap on another layer of nail polish and your nails never have a chance to regain their nourishment

Can Kids Wear Color Street Nail Polish Strips
I get a lot of questions about if we can use Color Street on our kids. I have a 7 year old girl who is, of course, totally obsessed and I use them on her all the time! Remember, Color Street is just polish, and it is a base coat + polish + top coat all in one, so their nails will be protected by the base coat.
I have actually gotten it down to where I can use just one set for both of us! I only have to trim the biggest thumbnail one to use on her pointer, and the rest I just take my leftovers from my manicure, cut the nail strips in half and apply one to each finger on the other hand. Easy breezy. Plus then we have matching nails which is SO COOL if you’re 7. I’m sure that will be changing as she gets older!

- Color Street/Incoco seem to have the best strip formula
- Color Street has more variety & includes more strips, but Incoco is cheaper and can be grabbed at Walmart.
- Ultimately, I think Dashing Diva was my favorite. They just make your nails SOLID. Theyd be especially great if you were doing something tough on your nails, as I think they are a good support. They just feel a bit weird, and I dont know that Id wear them frequently as I felt they hurt my nail health a bit when I ripped them off).

My Glitter Nails Had Pieces Rip Off At The Tip When I Applied Them Why Did This Happen
Some of the glitter designs with chunky glitter can have larger glitter pieces hang over the edge of your nail when you apply them. If this happens use nail clippers to cut the glitter at the nail edge rather than trying to file it away.
If you are going to use a file to remove this glitter then be sure to go in a downward motion and not back and forth. This will help prevent the file from pulling at the glitter and tearing pieces away.

Nail Wraps Compared To At
While I was at a family reunion one night, my niece was doing gel nails for all the girls, which was awesome.
They turned out great and they are wearing really well on my daughter.
It had to have taken DOUBLE the amount of time to do that gel nail thing vs the nail wraps because I did my color street set while they did theirs.
Yes, the gel thing is probably cheaper once you have the whole kit and are only buying the polish. But, yipes! The time!
Also, my daughter said it sting-d, I think after they put the top coat on.
A great finished product, just a lot of time. Id guess at least 1/3 an hour, and thats when someone else is painting your nails for you!
No ones nails lasted as long as the strips though, I find the strips to be much easier and longer lasting than at-home gel nails!

Do you need to heat set them?
NO! That was the worst part of jamberry. And these are made from actual polish and just stick. Theyre awesome!
Do you think Color Street are Better than Incoco
Honestly, I couldnt notice a difference. Initially, I felt like there was less chipping at the top which is nice. Color Street has SO many more options though, so theres that.
Are these healthy for your nails?
Ultimately, probably not. You have to scrub harder than regular polish to get them off . I notice my nails are a bit more brittle after I use it. I also try to let my nails go au natural for a bit between strips.
How do you remove Color Street Nails?
Ugh, regular polish remover does NOT work well, and can damage your nails. My friend told me about the mineral remover I mentioned above and I LOVE it. So much better. Some of them I used a cuticle stick to take off too, with some cuticle oil.
Which did you like the least?
Lily and Fox by Far. Really, really bad.
Which did you like most?
Probably Dashing Diva. EXCEPT the rubbery-feeling nail part. That kind of bugged me. I like the feel of Color Street/Incoco more.

If the strip is just a little too wide, you can gently pull up on the nail strip to stretch it into a narrower shape. However, if the width difference is significant, then ensure that the polish is firmly adhered to the nail bed and with your finger or an orange stick gently break away any excess that may be on your skin.

How Do Color Street Nails Work
Color Street Nails can be confusing at first. For years of using traditional nail polish, even we were boggled by the idea! But it really isnt all that difficult once you learn more about it.
Color Street Nails come in packs of 16 strips to ensure that each size sticker is able to fit each of your nail sizes. They stick to the nails and then you cut off the excess. From there, you will likely still have some of the sticker hanging over. To get rid of this, you can easily file it off with a nail file!

Even if you can sell and recruit more distributors into the MLM heres another hidden truth about Color Street
Your profit margins are pretty low!
Youre getting 25% commission from an $11 product.
That is less than $3 per sale.
You can make over $3.50 per sale if you sell enough in the month.
But, if you need $2,000 a month to quit your job then you need to sell 568 packs every month!
You can see in the Color Street income disclosure above that only 0.34% of all “Color Street Stylists” made over $2,314.73 per month.

Before we begin to address some of the nuances of Color Street it would be helpful to ensure that you know how they are to be applied. Below is a basic outline of how to apply Color Street the ‘no-tools’ way. If you prefer you can use a file to gently break the strip away at the top of the nail.

Tips For Nail Wraps At Home
With all of these, I found some tips that seem to help the application.
You can use both ends of the nail wrap
I would cut them in half vs trying to file/nail clip off the end.
You can re-stick a nail wrap
These are great, because if you get the wrap on your nail you can lift it up and try it again. So, if you dont get it centered, or you end up placing it diagonally, just lift up and try again.
How To Apply Color Street Nail Polish
Overall Color Street Nail Polish Strips are pretty easy to apply. I didnt do much to prepare my nails for this manicure. I had recently filed my nails down, so I just pushed back my cuticles and used the alcohol swabs to super clean the nail bed. I compared each nail strip to my actual nail beds to decide which strips to use. I have fairly small hands but long nail beds, theyre somewhat narrow though. I ended up using the 4 biggest strips, skipped 1 strip size and used the next one for my pinkie. They all fit pretty well except for my middle finger, it could have used the same size strip as my index finger.
Theres a clear plastic coating to remove from the strips and then you can remove the nail polish strip from the backing. It is a little sticky, but it isnt difficult to work with. Once youve removed the tab at the end, you can apply the polish on to your nail. There are 2 ends you could put near your cuticle, and my nails are a little more of a squoval so I used that end at the base of my nail. I push down in the middle first and lay the polish down flat, stretching as I need to.
Once Ive positioned the polish in the right spot I pull it down over my nail and pull, the polish will rip over the nail in just the right spot. You can then file down the excess.
