How To Apply Impress Nails

Everything You Need to Know About imPRESS Nails | Review Tips

The box makes it seem really easy to apply these nails. Clean, Peel, Stick!;

BUTTT theres a little more that goes into applying imPRESS nails correctly and of course, the upkeep of maintaining them.;

First, trim and file down your nails so they are smooth and at your desired length. My thumbnail was brittle so I filed it down to be more smooth so the fake nail could adhere better. Then, clean your nail with the wipe that comes in.;

When it comes time to apply a nail, use the size that fits best. There are little numbers on each nail to signal which size they are but I found it much easier to just hold up an imPRESS nail to my own to see what one fits the best. When in doubt, go with the smaller size.;

Then, stick em on! Start by pressing down in the middle of the nail and then rolling your finger to the edges to really make sure its stuck on. Do this for both of your hands and make sure to have fun with the patterns!

When all the nails are applied, take a clear gel polish and coat the underside of each nail. This is SUPER important for helping the fake nail adhere to your own and maintaining this underside coat of clear polish helps the nails stay on longer.;

Wait an hour and then use a nail clipper to trim down the fake nails, as theyll be really long. The pack does come with a small nail file but I found it kind of useless, so I used my own. After about 10 minutes of trimming and sculpting, my nails were ready! Woohoo!

What Dont You Like About Impress Nails

As I mentioned above, I still have to get used to the feeling of something heavy on my nail, but this is only a problem for the 3 fingers I have a studded nail design on.;

Also, as I chat about in my video, before I re-applied a new coat of clear gel on the underside, a couple of my fake nails were ever so slightly detaching from my nail. Not enough to notice BUT it turned into a hair trap. As in, everything I ran my fingers through my hair, a strand would be trapped under my fake nail.

But thats literally the only thing I have to complain about. I love my imPRESS nails and will be using these for many years to come!;

I hope this helps you decide if imPRESS nails are for you! If you have thoughts to add or more reviews, leave a comment below so everyone can see. Id especially love to hear from you if you have swum in the ocean or a pool with these nails on! Did they still stick?

If you have any questions, leave a comment or DM me on Instagram and Ill be happy to help!

No Time For A Manicure No Worries Try These Impress Press On Nails For An Instant Manicure

No time or money for a manicure? I have a solution for you! Have you seen the Impress Nails yet? Ive passed by these so many times in the drugstore wondering if they actually worked. Maybe youre wondering how long Impress press on nails last and if they are worth it? Scroll down for my Impress Nails review!

Ive heard talk of them on social media recently so I decided to take the leap and try them. For about $6 I thought it was worth the try!

I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome! I thought they looked amazing. I absolutely loved the color.

They are sooooo easy to put on.

I have used fake nails in the past for special occasions. If you have, you know how much of a pain it is to glue each nail one.

The nice thing about these is that you just have to press them on! NO glue required.

These fit in perfectly with my lifestyle. I don t have a lot of time to sit and paint my nails and let them dry. The only time I have is later at night when the kids are sleeping and most of the time Im just not interested in painting my nails that late!

This was so easy to do and took no time.

So heres the nails I chose. I love the neutral look of these. They have a matte finish. I didnt use the sparkly nails, but a lot of them seem to come with a different type of nail finish if you want to change things up.

How To Apply Press

Impress nails in "holla" @Influenster @BroadwayNails ...

Press-on nails come in kits which include either nail glue, double-sided glue gel strips, or your fake nails might already have an adhesive strip applied to them.;

Each set comes with instructions explaining how to put on fake nails. It is actually quite easy.

Even if your kit comes with an adhesive, I recommend buying additional nail glue to have on hand. Below are the steps to give yourself a press-on manicure using one of these kits:

A Completely Honest Experience Using Impress Nails

after Crystal Pine on June 3, 2021 | This article may contain affiliate links.Read my disclosure policy Here.

I like manicure. For several years, it has been one of the splurge of our budget. I dipped and polished them for 4-5 weeks.

But finishing them means finding time to go to the salon and sit there and let them do my nails. For a few weeks, it is difficult to spare time to do this.

Recently, I have finished nails for five weeks and I really need to finish them again. They have grown up, and the immersion oil is beginning to fall off.

However, we had a lot of things to do that week, and I cant seem to find an hour to leave the two children at home. At that moment, I remembered how my sister said she likes Impress Nails.

She once applied dipping oil on her nails and told me that she had switched to nail polish. Manicure And became a real fan.

So, Jesse had to go out to work, I asked him if he would pick up a box of Impress Nails from Target and give me a try.

How Do You Keep Impress Fake Nails From Falling Off

Each pack comes with extra nails for replacements to even a second full set. Keep 1 of each shape in a coin purse and tuck those in your bag so if a nail falls off while you are out and about, its easy to just re-apply the nail.

You can also carry around nail glue if you happen to catch the fallen nail. Its very affordable, just a few bucks. I personally would keep some nail glue and extra nails at my desk if I still worked in an office.

But, obviously, you want to avoid reapplying at all. These are some of my secret hacks for keeping your nails from falling off.

  • Apply your nails at night, after you washed your face, etc, so you can sleep overnight without distributing them to help the glue set extra well.;
  • Avoid soaking them. Aka, if you do dishes, use dish gloves. If youre soaking in a hot tub, try to keep your hands out of the water to prevent the glue from dissolving too fast.
  • Reapply that clear nail polish on the underside every 3-4 days as itll rub off over that time.

How Long Can They Last

IMPRESS GEL MANICURE PRESS ON NAILS | MY COLLECTION HOW TO USE | OVER 40 BEAUTY

I asked about it on Instagram, and most people said that they usually last for 10 days. Several people said they only lasted a few days. But most people say that if you make your nails a little thicker and dont get them wet after wearing them for a few hours, they will last for 10-14 days .

In the 10 days I have worn them, some of my have fallen off, but I find it really easy to put on new nails or glue them back with nail glue.

How Do You Apply Them

Impress Nails is very easy to apply. Just open the box, make sure your nails are clean, dry and slightly rough , then peel off the backing and press it down. Kaitlynn and I applied them together, and we found that it is best to nail them and press around them for about 30 seconds.

The biggest reminder people give me over and over again is not to get them wet for a few hours. They said it gave the glue time to dry. They also strongly recommend leaving them for a while before going to bed so that the glue has time to dry completely overnight. Those who said they would stay for 10-14 days told me they did.

Latest Obsession: Diy $6 Gel Manicure

A beauty blogger, I am not.but I have to tell you how much I love this product. I heard about it from Mallory over at ClassyClutter. She showed on her instastory a few weeks back these nails that you press on, and they stay on, do not get marked up, look amazing for a weekand then you take them off. I was intrigued mainly because I am that person who gets a gel manicure, and then HATES to go back and get it taken offso I try to do it myself, with the foil and the acetone, and waitingand I end up crying and cursing all the things after about an hour or trying to take off the gel nail polish. Can. Not. Stand the gel. So, I wanted to try these Impress Nails, they are cheap, come in a ton of colors, no harsh gel light thing, no harmful chemicals and are SOOOOOOO easy to put on and take off. Since I project a lot, and my nails are constantly getting beaten up, I thought it was at least worth a try. I shared this on a few weeks backyall were intrigued too. I will say, that I didnt find much info online about the best way to take them off. So I did put a little video together so that you can see how easy it is:) You can find these at most drug stores and Target etc.I have found the most color selection at CVS

Here Are My Best Tips For The Impress Nails Application:

ImPress nails by broadway. They are press on nails that ...
  • When picking a nail for each finger, pick a size thats the exact width of your nail or slightly smaller. They will stay on longer if not touching your skin on the side of the nail.
  • Make sure to use the alcohol wipe that comes with the packet to clean nails before applying Impress Nails.
  • To get the most natural look, take the tab off, and press it right up to and under your cuticle.
  • For best adhesion, spend a few minutes just pressing the nails to your nails, going along each finger and pressing. I will sometimes apply mine while watching TV, and just keep pressing for awhile.
  • Apply them before bed! Then they will set up better while sleeping since you wont be using your hands. I noticed that Im more likely to have them stay on longer when I do that.
  • File the ends a bit if there are rough spots after application. Theres a small nail file that comes in the kit, but its good to have a bigger size on hand.
  • Be careful with your nails. I still take a hot bath every night and do lots of dishes, but Im careful not to use my nails to open things.
  • If a nail pops off, keep some nail glue on hand, and apply a couple of drops to put it back on.
  • Removal is actually pretty easy. Peel them off starting at the sides, and the glue comes off pretty easily. I never use acetone or anything.

Great for young teens, too!

Heres Why I Especially Love Kiss Impress Nails

  • They are easy to apply in just one step and theres no nail glue needed.
  • No drying time is needed like with traditional nail polish. I can just stick these on and move on to other things, which is such a time saver!
  • After I am done wearing them, I can remove them without damaging my nails and theres no drill damaging my real nails like in the salon applications. My actual nails feel perfectly healthy!
  • Impress Nails save me money. These are much less than a salon gel manicure which can cost up to $50-$60 dollars, and I dont need to leave the house!

How To Use Impress Nails

  • Plan out which nails fit yours. They say to size down rather than up if you cant find one that fits exactly. As I found each one that fit I would lay them all out in front of me.
  • Next, wash your hands and then use the cleaning wipe that is provided and wipe down each nail bed. A friend gave me a tip and said that you should also clean your fingers with alcohol as well. It will help the adhesive really stick to the nail. If you have anything on your nail bed then it will prevent the adhesive from sticking and they wont stay on as long.
  • You can also push back your cuticle a bit and kind of tuck the nail in it to help it stay. I think this also helps make it look very natural.
  • Apply the nails by peeling back the tab. Press and hold in the center and then press the edges. The firmer you press, the better they will stick!
  • You can file the nails, but you have to wait at least an hour after applying. I didnt know this beforehand either! I think I would have gotten more use out of them if I had waited at least an hour.
  • You are also able to cut them! I was afraid to, but I tried and it stayed on fine and then I filed the nail down smooth.
  • All Done!
