Dashing Diva Gel Nail Strips Review

So this time I’m reviewing a product I recently tried with my mom. She was interested in gel nail strips that she’d heard about, so we got some at Walmart to try out.

The nail strips come in lines on plastic sheets so you can size them to your nail. The box we got had 34 strips, two of which were very large, most likely for toes. To apply the nails, you take the right size off the sheet, carefully line the bottom up just above your cuticle after cleaning all your nails, and press it down, exactly like a sticker. Once in position, you take the included file and rub in one direction to get rid of the excess material above the tip of your nail. The total process, for my mom and I to do all twenty of our fingernails separately, took about forty-five minutes.

Some things to point out would be that the strips are very long. VERY long. So long, in fact, that my mom and I cut our pinkie finger strips in half and used a half on each nail, and we still had excess on the ends. Also, the included file isn’t too high-quality, so if you have a better one you might want to use it instead.

Dashing Diva nail strips are something we have reviewed on the blog before, and we liked them a lot. So when I saw a new product put out by Dashing Diva, I was intrigued. Especially when I saw they were a semi-cured gel that came with their own mini LED lamp.

While I have liked most of the nail strips we have tried, I liked the idea of a stronger, harder finish. I knew Kim was coming to visit soon, so I asked if she wanted to try them with me. So this review will be from not just one, but two Shane sisters.

What Comes In A Set

Dashing Diva gloss sets include:

• 32 gel manicure strips
• Instruction booklet

Thats it. It doesnt come with a cuticle pusher which is a bit of a bummer because you need one to remove the nail strips. Its still a great price for what you do get.

The 32 strips break down to 20 solid, base colors and 12 accent colors. All in different sizes. I love that Dashing Diva sets always come with accent colors. It makes it really easy to customize your nails.

How Long Did They End Up Lasting

After 10 days my other pointer nail started moving around so I replaced it and left all of the others because they were still totally secure! The full set ended up lasting for 2 weeks before I got a little tipsy one night and pulled them off. They probably could have lasted another few days but they did start to look worn and the tip of my thumbnails got a little rough.

Easy Long Lasting But Color Is Off

I followed all the extra tips, to use tweezers, and to use the base coat.They went on easily, the hardest part was finding the exact right size for my nail bed, and then filing the extra off. But I am disappointed that the pink blush color that you see online is actually more of a light purple color. At least the strip that I got. Its been 6 days and they still look great.

Love this set because it has such variety to it. I still haven’t figured out how to put them on without getting bubbles in them on the ends and sides and usually I pick sizes that are too small so my nail shows on both sides. I guess my nails are an odd size because most are either too big or too small but I like them so much that I make it work. This is only the third set I have tried. I really love how long they lasts. I wore for 16 days then needed to trim my nails so had to remove. I would recommend.

So I had these left over and another package from left over and mixed them and they turned out so good. My favorite yet.

Are Nail Wraps Easy To Remove

Apply oil to the flat end of the wooden cuticle stick and gently shimmy it underneath the edges to loosen the nail wrap, OR wipe clean with acetone-free nail polish remover. Will they damage my nails? No! Our nail polish wraps can be easily removed without damaging your nails or using harsh chemicals!

A Trial And Error Journey With Glaze

I decided to try out GLAZE by Dashing Diva after seeing some good reviews online. I was a little hesitant at first because of the price, but Im glad I decided to go for it. The process of applying the stickers was easy, and they looked great right after I put them on. However, I found that they didnt last as long as some of the other options out there. But overall, Im happy with the results and would recommend GLAZE to anyone looking for an easy and convenient way to get salon-quality nails at home.

What Is The Application Process Like

It literally took me 10 minutes, and it couldnt have been easier.

Following the instructions on the pack, I used the wood stick to gently push back my nail cuticle, before cleaning my natural nails with the supplied prep pad .

I then sized each finger with a Magic Press nail, peeled off the plastic tab and pressed them into each nail, applying pressure for 20 seconds. The size of the press-on is clearly outlined on the plastic tab, so you can easily pair up your left and right hand with the same nail.

To achieve a more natural look, you want the end of the press-on to sit just slightly under your cuticle bed, but do this gently. If you can feel the fake nail, then youve pushed too far.

After that, youre good to go. The instructions advise you to avoid getting your fingers wet for the next hour.

The removal process is a breeze too. Just saturate the same wood stick with an acetone polish remover, and you can gently ease the fake nail off your natural nail.

On the nail, I thought they looked SO convincing. For the most part I wasnt even aware that I had them on. Ive had gel extensions before, and the Magic Press nails gave a similar result. I forced my Mamamia colleagues to look at my nails, and unanimously, they couldnt tell the difference between my $17 press-ons, and a manicure that could have cost me up to $100.

What You Get In The Kit

When purchasing, Dashing Diva Glaze nails come in two packages. For your first time, you want to get the starter kit, because it comes with a mini LED lamp, which you need to harden Glaze nails. It also has 34 semi-cured gel nail strips, manicure stick, nail file, and 2 prep pads.

After that you can just buy a set of Glaze nail strips. They contain everything except for the lamp.

One of the things we really love about Dashing Diva is they are not an MLM set-up, so you dont need to find a representative to order them. You can find them at stores like Target while you are doing your regular shopping, or at Ulta .

But if you want way more choices in colors and designs you can order them directly from the Dashing Diva website. Online they have tons of solids, glitters, designs, and even Glaze nails just for your toes.

Final Thoughts On Dashing Diva Glaze Nail Strips

Kim and I were both very happy with our Glaze manicures. They looked really good, and stayed on for a long time without having to baby them. We both found their application to be easier than the regular nail strips, but with a sturdier result.

Would we use them again? A resounding yes! I have done two manicures already and plan to keep using Glaze manicures in the future.

Kim even tried some of the finger nails on her toes and got a great result. In our opinion, while regular nail strips would be a substitute for nail polish, Glaze strips would be closer to a substitute for salon gels and acrylics.

Gloss palette

The gloss palette comprises 32 gel manicure strips, including the base color and quirky yet trendy designs. Twenty strips come up with the base color the other 12 include the accent design. The whole package comes up with a nail filer and an alcohol prep rubbing cotton pad to remove the excess oil from the nails. With more than 50 designs on board, this palette is pretty affordable.

Gloss color

Gloss color is another range with Dashing Diva that comes up in 14 base colors with each palette, including 27 gel manicure strips. In addition, it includes a nail file and a nail prep pad. Alongside the 14 color ranges, the company provides a few other preference options, including the nail strips finish, coverage, and accent. My Thoughts Which Is Better

When it comes to doing my own gel manicure at home, Ill be reaching for my Dashing Diva gel nails!

Even with the extra curing step, I found they looked better, fit great, and lasted.

Again, I want to point out that I may have had a better experience with one brand over another, but that certainly doesnt mean you will too!

Ive seen so many people try ManiMe and love their nails.

Im not sure howbut Im at least glad I tried them out so I know they arent the right fit for me.

Dashing Diva Gloss Gel Strips Review

This year, I discovered Dashing Diva. I ordered a couple of designs to try, and was surprised to see made in Korea on the back. I fell in love quickly and ended up placing numerous orders in the following weeks. The company makes a few different kinds of nail products: strips, press-ons, glue-on nails, and more. Todays review is about Dashing Diva Gloss Gel Strips. They are sold on the* official US website, and also on Stylevana and YesStyle .

The gloss strips are made from real gel and last up to 2 weeks. On me, they can go longer than that, but of course after 14 days the growth is obvious, so I take them off. Each pack comes with more than 30 strips , a very decent nail file, and provides plenty for two manicures for me plus leftovers. I sometimes combine the extras from multiple packs into some fun new manicure arrangements. A second strip of the solid color is hiding behind the first one.

How to apply:

• Make sure your hands are clean and dry

• Push down the cuticle, wipe the nail with an alcohol wipe

• Choose your strip sizes

• Apply, pushing down firmly

• Trim or file off the excess

• No top coat is needed, but if you want, you can apply one
