While these nail polish strips can be removed with nail polish remover, I wanted to share a few tips to make sure you remove your Color Street nails easily, while keeping your nails healthy.

So I am obsessed with Color STREET nails. They are amazing and I love how they look, feel and how easy they are to put on and take off. Because they are 100% nail polish, they can easily be removed with nail polish remover. All of the nail polish strips come off with nail polish remover but I have found that the glitter ones are a little bit harder to get off . Well I found out a way and a remover that makes it super easy to take it off the glitter polish . So here is a post on how to remove Color Street nails.

Since I hadnt heard of Color Street, I wonder if you havent either. So lets talk about the company for a minute:

Color Streets birth place is NYC in 1984. Their creator, Fa Park, saw a woman struggling to polish her nails in a New York City cab. He thought that there has to be an easier way.

Upon discovering there wasnt, he decided to make a better way. He experimented with lots of different techniques of putting polish on surfaces until he found his formula.

The Color Street nail strips are made with 100% real nail polish. They are not vinyl like other brands. This means they can be removed with nail polish remover. When done properly Color Street does not damage the nail like acrylics do.

Fa started his company trying to make direct sales. He eventually realized to get them to the public the way he wanted he was going to have to go to the party sale platform.

Apply The Stickers To Your Nails

Then, it is time to apply the stickers to your nails. One by one, peel off the backing and precisely stick it to your nails. Try to get it perfectly in place the first time, as the more you take it on and off reduces how long-lasting it is.

Make sure the rounded edge is right below or right up to the edge of the cuticle. Do not go over the cuticle, as this will make it peel off faster. Then, smooth the sticker on your nail to make sure there are not any air bubbles and that it is smooth against the nail.

How Do They Work

Each pack of Color Street nail stickers contains sixteen strips so that youre guaranteed to find the best fit for your nails. Simply select the strip size that best fits each nail, peel off the backing paper, and smooth the strip onto your nail from the cuticle to the tip. Once you reach the tip, youll likely have overhang. Review Of Color Street Nails

Shipping was also $3 making these. If I had bought 3 I couldve gotten one set for free, putting them closer to the $10 dollar range .

I thought Id try the ACTUAL Color Street if I was going to share alternatives with you guys.

After trying Lily And Fox these were an absolute DREAM to put on.

SO easy to get them off the paper and apply to my nail.

I actually think they were easier than Incoco.

They smoothed out so nicely, and they dont feel like rubber on my fingers.

I had heard they were of a higher quality than Incoco, but honestly, after I put them on they feel pretty much the same. If you buy through a color street rep you will get a much larger variety of nails to try, but the nails themselves seem pretty similar to Incoco.

Also, you do get more nails with Color Street than you do with Incoco so that is a benefit!

Keep in mind that they say you can only use them when you open them. Thats because these CAN dry out. I put mine in a ziplock and cross my fingers, but a lot of my friends use their flat iron to seal the packet for their 2nd use.

I could also use my food sealer. but that seems like a lot.

I also liked that they include a larger variety of nail sizes. They had one much bigger than my thumb and they have one that is smaller than my pinky. Which, is nice.

These seem to wear very similar to Incoco. I noticed some chipping on the ends right away. The strips I chose were darker in color, and I dont notice cracking .

Nail Wraps Compared To At

While I was at a family reunion one night, my niece was doing gel nails for all the girls, which was awesome.

They turned out great and they are wearing really well on my daughter.

It had to have taken DOUBLE the amount of time to do that gel nail thing vs the nail wraps because I did my color street set while they did theirs.

Yes, the gel thing is probably cheaper once you have the whole kit and are only buying the polish. But, yipes! The time!

Also, my daughter said it sting-d, I think after they put the top coat on.

A great finished product, just a lot of time. Id guess at least 1/3 an hour, and thats when someone else is painting your nails for you!

No ones nails lasted as long as the strips though, I find the strips to be much easier and longer lasting than at-home gel nails!

Why Are My Color Street Nails Not Sticking

If this is one of your main Color Street problems, let me tell you that youre not alone! Again, this is another huge problem I see from people and most of the time it is a problem with application. Your skin produces a lot of natural oils that keep it hydrated and healthy. You know all those fingerprints you see on windows and stainless appliances? Thats your skin oil. In order for Color Street to stick properly your nail must be free of these oils.

One of the very first steps to Color Street application is using an alcohol prep pad and one is included with every set. However, if after doing this step the strips still arent sticking there are other things you can do to remove that oil.

The next step I recommend is washing hands with soap and water making sure to get into the crevices around the cuticle. This will usually do the trick, but if thats still not good enough or your nails still look shiny you can rub acetone nail polish remover over them. While I dont usually like to recommend acetone remover it is very good at drying things out which is what your nails need if theyre oily.

Another tip that Ive seen other Stylists recommend is a base coat with Color Street. The strips seem to grip better when using one if they have oily nailbeds. Using a base coat in general is a good thing for your nails as well. Ill mention this again later, but when using a strengthening base coat it can help prevent your nails from peeling and breaking due to weakness.

Warm Water And Zip Lock Pouch Bag Method

This method will make the dreary chore of removing color street nails easy. A couple of things are required to carry out this procedure.

Materials required

• Cotton pads.
• Warm Water.

Step 1: To effectively remove color street nails, you need to try this method. All you have to do is pour some regular nail polish remover in a zip lock bag.

Step 2: Take a glass jar half filled with warm water.

Step 3: Carefully, place your zip lock bag inside the glass jar.

Step 4: Dip your fingers in the nail polish remover in the zip lock bag.

Step 5: With the help of your fingers, start rubbing off your nails.

Step 6: keep doing this for at least 30-60 seconds. Make sure you dont rub your nails in a harsh manner.

Step 7: Apply some amount of regular nail polish remover on a cotton pad.

Step 8: Now, gently wipe out the left-over nail polish with the help of a cotton pad.

Voila! You have done it. Your nails are clean now.
