Nearly one in three people may be taking biotin, an oral supplement that has been purported to strengthen nails and grow tresses. Yet, as few as 7% of biotin users are aware of potentially serious interactions with blood tests, including the misdiagnosis of heart attacks.

Thats not all. There is little scientific evidence to suggest that biotinhas any positive effects on the hair or nails of healthy people, which is news to many consumers. Are those promises of Rapunzel-like locks really empty?
