Choose Your Press On Nail Business Name

To get started I first sat down to think of a name for my new press on nail business. Try to keep in mind things like what you plan to sell now and possibly later. For instance, you may not want to put nails in your title if you hope to later sell things like lashes, lip glosses, clothes, etc. so keep that in mind when choosing a name. I would choose something easy to pronounce and understand, as well as one that has some type of meaning for you. Also make sure your name is available with the social media accounts you want. Now, write down a few best picks and then do a state business search to make sure the name is available in your state, then a google domain search to see if the name is available as a website. Youll want to make sure your website name is available. You can buy your domain from places like Google Domains. Usually the .com websites are generally 12.99/yr, but there are a select few popular names that are bit pricey.

Business Type

Also, do your research on whatever else is needed on the legal side for your state. Try this site, they may offer some helpful information. Now that the boring legal talk is over lets get to the good stuff.

Social Media

I personally would grab an account for all social media accounts even if you dont plan to use them. You never know where your business could lead you and will be happy you secured your name just in case.

Ways To Make Your Press

  • Make sure your nails are totally clean before applying your press-ons so that dirt, oil, or other debris doesnt prevent the glue from fully adhering the press-on to your real nail.
  • Apply your glue with how long you want your press-on nails to last. If youre hoping to switch up your nail look just for the weekend, Frank says to only use a couple of drops of glue if you want your press-ons to last for a week or more, cover your entire nail in glue.
  • Opt for shorter nails. As fun as long coffin, stiletto, and almond-shaped nails are, the longer the length, the more likely theyll be to snag on something and accidentally pop off.
  • Consider using a different glue than the one that comes in your kit. Some of the top-reviewed nail glues include KISS PowerFlex Max Speed Glue and Mia Secret Nail Glue .
  • Skip baths or just remember not to submerge your nails underwater. Since press-ons are designed to come off with just soap and water, letting them sit under soapy suds for long periods can shorten their wear.
  • How To Apply Press

    1. Clip your nails. For the longest-lasting press on mani, clip your natural nails short, Frank starts.

    2. Clean your nails. Frank says to remove all polish and clean your nails well with soap and water to ensure a clean base for your press-on mani.If you have it on hand, clean them with rubbing alcohol using a cotton ball too, she says. From there, dry your nails completely and move to the next step.

    3. Pick out your nail sizes. Frank says choosing your nail sizes before you start applying them is a must so that you aren’t trying to find your size with wet glue on your hands. For an even more perfect match, file the sides of the press-on nail to fit your nail beds, she says.

    4. Apply one nail at a time. One finger at a time, cover your whole nail with glue, then align the press-on with your nail bed and press down firmly for 20 seconds, Frank instructs. Enjoy your mani for up to two weeks!

    5. Optional: Paint your nails. If you opted for clear press-ons , you can paint them to your liking once the glue is dry. Dont forget topcoat so that your polish lasts as long as your press-ons.

Choose a social media to promote your press on nails. I recommend choosing just one social media in the beginning. The more your brand is seen the better. Make sure to respond to customer messages. Consistently send links to your products and connect with your following using your chosen social media.

Find your sweet spot with pricing. Check out your competitors pricing for similar sets then price your nail sets right around that amount.

How You Should Market Your Press

4 WAYS TO SELL PRESS ON NAILS + FREE VENDOR ...

With the rise of nail product popularity during lockdown, tight pockets, and availability of press on nails from retail stores, you may be struggling to give into the idea of creating press on nails, however, never underestimate the power of a personalised business and the need for luxury, and if youre struggling to market your press-on nails, try the following tips:

    1. Build up desire

if your clients can see that your items are desired and worn by others, your clients are more likely to order them themselves. To get the ball rolling, you can give 1-3 sets away to your clients on the condition that they take a photo wearing your nail set. You can then share this on your social media to show your followers others are already wearing your sets.

    2. Waiting List

Offer the opportunity for each client who orders your press-on nails, to be on your waiting list for first appointments when you open free of charge. This is most effective if you also have a waiting list for which a deposit must be made to sign up.

    3. Do popular designs just for likes

The most popular designs often include brands, like gucci, versace etc. Popular images can raise your engagement and help you get on the explore page to reach new clients, as well as show how popular your designs are. Even though you may do these despite not having a client request – they will sell themselves!

    4. The perfect gift

    5. Keep active

    How Long Do They Last

Again, this comes down to the quality of press-ons you purchase, but Frank says that a good application can last up to two weeks with proper care. If the nails themselves are durable, you can reuse them too, she says. My rule of thumb is: More glue equals longer wear. The cool part about press-ons is that you actually can wear them for very short periods of time too! Just look at Beyonce’s 2018 Coachella performance. There’s no salon backstage, Frank says. She just switched out her press-ons! So, whether you want flashy nails just for the weekend or youre hoping for a longer-lasting mani, press-ons might just be the answer to your prayers, especially those that come with adhesive tabs .

    What Are The Best Press

The best press-on nail sets depend on what style you’re going for and how well you want the fake nails to actually “stick” to your real nails. If you’re looking for a non-committal option and easy removal, a glue-less nail that comes with an adhesive back is a great option. However, I’d be remiss not to warn you that these kinds of press-on nails can easily fall off. So, if you don’t necessarily want to walk around with half a set of nails, I’d purchase the ones that require nail glue.

If you go the glue nail route, you should understand that the removal process can damage your nails, similar to the acrylics, dip, and gel you get at the salon. When it’s time to remove them, follow these steps to prevent as much damage as possible:

  • Soak your nails in warm soapy water for 10 to 15 minutes. If they are reusable nails, avoid acetone, it can destroy them.
  • Take a wood cuticle pusher if you want to reuse the nails, or a metal cuticle pusher if they’re for one-time use, and gently lift the press-on up from around your nailbed and cuticles.
  • If they are not budging, soak the nails for a bit longer. Continue this process until they all come offbuff off any excess glue leftover.
  • Finish your nails off with cuticle oil and an optional nail strengthener.
  • So, since we covered the basics, and Ive become the unofficial expert on all things fake nails in 2021, let’s get to the fun part: Here are the 18 best press-on nails ranging from drugstore to expensive.
