How To Package Press On Nails

Packaging press on nails

If you are getting started your press on nail business, packaging is one of the ways you can impress your customer by offering safe delivery to prevent damage. That is why we offer press on nail box packaging that is simple, yet durable and reusable with clear pvc window for presentation.

How Long Do They Last

Again, this comes down to the quality of press-ons you purchase, but Frank says that a good application can last up to two weeks with proper care. If the nails themselves are durable, you can reuse them too, she says. My rule of thumb is: More glue equals longer wear. The cool part about press-ons is that you actually can wear them for very short periods of time too! Just look at Beyonce’s 2018 Coachella performance. There’s no salon backstage, Frank says. She just switched out her press-ons! So, whether you want flashy nails just for the weekend or youre hoping for a longer-lasting mani, press-ons might just be the answer to your prayers, especially those that come with adhesive tabs .

Here Are The Things I Do To Prevent Damage From Press On Nails:

  • I put a coat of Get Well Nail Recovery on
  • I do NOT file the front of my nails before I put the press on nails on.
  • I put a dot of glue on both the back of the press on nail and on my real nail so that theyre adhering together, rather than just to my nail.
  • I wait until several of them are really starting to pop off before I take them off.
  • I soak my nails in warm water for about 5 minutes to let the glue loosen and then I run my finger nail around the edge of the fake nail to loosen it until it pops off easily.
  • After I take them off, I lightly buff my nails to get excess glue off and then I put on another coat of Get Well Nail Recovery.
  • I also take vitamins every day to keep my nails strong and growing reasonably fast.
  • Ive also had a lot of people ask if theyre reusable and while Ive seen some people say yes, my answer is definitely no.

    Also, I dont feel like there are enough nails in a set to do your nails twice. There are a lot of extras, but there definitely are 10 additional ones in the sizes I need. Most of my leftover ones are much too big and dont fit on any of my nails.

    Some Frequently Asked Questions About Press On Nails

    The most frequently asked question about these press on nails is Do they damage your real nails?

    Its going to differ depending on your own nails and how you use them, but for me, the damage has been minimal.

    Ive done gel nails twice in my life and they absolutely DESTROYED my real nails. I dont plan to ever do them again a few weeks of great looking nails doesnt make up for 3-4 months of trying to get my regular nails back in decent shape.

    I also can only paint my nails maybe twice before they start to get pretty damaged.

    And nail stickers? Those things also wreak havoc on my real nails.

    The press on nails do the least damage of any of these things to my nails.

    How To Reuse Press

    How I package my Press On Nails

    Another great thing about press-on nails is that you can reuse them. I would recommend using the cuticle oil or non-acetone nail polish remover when you take them off if you plan to reuse, however, as acetone will eat away at the acrylic.

    Its also important to note that kits normally come with 20+ different nails. That means that even if you used half of the box, you can keep the rest of the nails to mix and match with other sets in the future.;

    How To Apply Press

    Well, thats a post I never thought Id write.

    Im #blessed with fingers of the sausage variety thick, short, crooked, and topped with the kind of nails that make manicurists cry and elegant nail polish swatches impossible. Oh, and did I mention that theyre also brittle af? I figured I was doomed to a life of shapeless manicures and stubby fingers, but then I received a lovely package from imPRESS press-on nails* and it changed everything. These perfectly shaped bits of resin may not look like much, but theyre a real confidence booster. I felt like a super sassy version of myself for almost two weeks. It was glorious.

    And heres the ultimate proof I posted a close-up picture of my sausage hands on . ;

    How Do You Remove Press

    Be gentle when removing fake nails, meaning dont rip them off .

    If you used self-stick nails, you can simply soak your fingertips in warm, soapy water for about five to 10 minutes then gently start lifting the artificial nails. For glue, however, you will likely need acetone to break it down, according to Marton. She recommends adding a drop of oil or rich cream onto your hands to regain moisture immediately after using acetone.

    Again, these nails were not designed to last long, so they should come off fairly easy just be gentle in your process, Marton said.

    Ways To Make Your Press

  • Make sure your nails are totally clean before applying your press-ons so that dirt, oil, or other debris doesnt prevent the glue from fully adhering the press-on to your real nail.;
  • Apply your glue with how long you want your press-on nails to last. If youre hoping to switch up your nail look just for the weekend, Frank says to only use a couple of drops of glue; if you want your press-ons to last for a week or more, cover your entire nail in glue.
  • Opt for shorter nails. As fun as long coffin, stiletto, and almond-shaped nails are, the longer the length, the more likely theyll be to snag on something and accidentally pop off.;
  • Consider using a different glue than the one that comes in your kit. Some of the top-reviewed nail glues include KISS PowerFlex Max Speed Glue and Mia Secret Nail Glue .
  • Skip baths or just remember not to submerge your nails underwater. Since press-ons are designed to come off with just soap and water, letting them sit under soapy suds for long periods can shorten their wear.

    You can make your press-on nails last longer by following these 4 simple tips:

    • Tip 1: Whether using clear polish under the glue or not, always make sure to use rubbing alcohol to clean off any remaining residue and natural oils before applying.;
    • Tip 2: Use a strong adhesive nail glue by applying it both to the back of the press-on nail and your natural nail.;
    • Tip 3: Put pressure on every nail for 30 seconds as you are applying. This lets the adhesive spread across the full surface thus ensuring a stronger bond. This will, in turn, make press-on nails stick better.
    • Tip 4: Do not wash your hands or come in contact with water for at least 2 hours after application to help your press-on nails stay on longer. I find that doing this overnight is the easiest .;
    • Tip 5: Use a top hardener coat to make your nails look polished and help them stick better. This also has the added benefit of hardening the actual nail surface which makes it more durable.

    Where Can You Buy Glue

    There are many press-on nail manufacturers on the market. Some of the most common brands you will find at your local Target, Walmart, and CVS are Kiss Nails and imPRESS. Static Nails are a slightly more expensive option and are sold online.

    My personal favorites are by Kiss Nails and a newer player Ardell Professional Nail Addict nails I find that they last much longer and do not show wear and tear nearly as much as imPRESS nails do. ImPRESS nails, however, might be an easier option to start with if youre just learning and looking for something mess-free. These come with adhesive strips already on the nails, so no additional glue application is required.

    Press-on nails come in a wide variety of colors, shapes, and designs making it easy to mix it up a bit. You can even get clear press-on nails and apply your favorite color and design yourself.

    • It takes me less than 10 minutes to prep my nails and apply the falsies which makes getting ready for an even a snap Having said that, you might take longer the first couple of times, but not by much.
    • They leave my nails healthier than before
    • They are super-duper easy to remove without causing any nail damage.
    • My favorite thing about press-on nails though is the wide variety of designs and colors to choose from.

    Greetings all, welcome back to my channel. If you are new here I am Paola of and I help aspiring nail solopreneurs master gel nails using Japanese Gel only.

    So today we will be talking Set up for massive press on nail success.

    And in case throughout your reading, youre wondering if I have any supply recommendations, here they are.

    And since my very first video on press-on nails Ive found people to be wondering who to sell press-ons for, and in theory because press-ons are such a personalized item you are essentially selling them to your audience, however big or small. But if you know how to create incredible nail art, say like Disney characters, etc., the skys the limit as to who would love to buy from you, just make sure to photograph your work the best you can.

    First things first, clear the area you will be working on from clutter. You want this area whether it is a little corner in your house, or private studio to be pristine ready to create.

    Why I Love Press

    If you cant grow your nails or if, like me, you want to elongate short stubby fingers with uneven nails, the imPRESS press-on manis are the most affordable and easiest way to experiment with fake nails. They come in a wide variety of lengths, patterns, and shapes, so you can pick whatever looks the most natural on you.

    I honestly didnt think the imPRESS press-on manicures would work for me because my fingers are crooked and fake nails have never, ever worked for me before, but the almond-shaped pre-glued nails I tried were a perfect fit. I really loved Next Wave* , though;Symphony* wasnt a big hit due to the square shape that doesnt flatter my hands.

    My biggest worry was that I wouldnt be able to figure out how to apply them, but I promise you, it could not be easier. The glue tabs are completely mess-free and foolproof, and I say that as someone who is more accident-prone than most. The patented SuperHold adhesive worked like a charm, but it was still easy to remove without damaging my natural nails when the time came. Once you figure out how to apply press-on nails for the first time, youll never want to go back to your natural nails.;

    What Are Press

    While this largely depends on the brand you choose to move forward with, Frank says that many press-on nails are acrylic resin false nails that can be applied in minutes, but have a near-perfect resemblance to a salon-quality acrylic mani.;

    Beyond their high-quality appearance , they come in a variety of shapes, styles, and colors, not to mention a range of budgets. Where some press-on nails can be snagged for just a few bucks, otherslike Rave Nails which are built to last and made with runway-quality nail art in mindring up for as much as $25 a pair.;

    How Do Press

    Press-on nails typically come in a kit that includes the nails, a cuticle-pusher, a file, and nail glue. The nails themselves are usually divided into a five-compartment container with multiple sizes for each nail so that you have a good chance of finding a press-on that perfectly matches your nail shape. And, if theyre a bit off, thats where the file comes into play.;

    Once you select your press-ons, you glue them on. Its as simple as that.

    Can Press

    They shouldnt damage your natural nails if you are careful. Most of the damage, if any, could occur if you are too rough in the removal process.

    Repeated use of press-on nails may be damaging depending on the type of glue or adhesive used and the chemical composition of the glue, said Dave Crisalli, founder and CEO of Prose, a nail boutique. A common method to remove press-ons is to soak the nail in pure acetone for up to 10 mins. Extended exposure to acetone can be very drying to nails and cuticles. We recommend using an intensive hand moisturizer and cuticle serum to counter the drying effects.

    And try to save press-on nails for special occasions, Dr. Debra Jaliman, a New York City-based dermatologist, suggested.

    Let your real nails breathe. Dont have them covered with artificial nails and wraps too often, Jaliman said. The glue used and the process of removing the artificial nails or wraps can weaken your own nails .
